Summit County Stand Down is hosting a Veterans Appreciation Day Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Guy’s Party Center (500 Waterloo Road, Akron).
One of the primary needs is simply “shepherding” a Veteran to ensure he/she goes to each available station. Stations will include haircuts, breakfast & lunch, ID Cards, boots, jobs & training, etc. A variety of other positions are also available.
If you are interested in assisting with this worthwhile volunteer event, registration is made directly through the SummitCountyStandDown.org website. Step-by-step instructions for registering as a volunteer are included below.
During the registration process, each Volunteer will need click the link to “Get A Ticket”. However, there will be no ticket to print nor download. By clicking the “Get Tickets” – the organization simply gets a count of the number of persons attending.
