It was wonderful to see so many members at the first Business Meeting of our year. I sincerely appreciate your support of Common Threads, and it was inspiring to hear Cindy Carr share the impactful work their organization is doing.
Please join me in welcoming our new Member Candidates. We look forward to getting to know you better throughout the year and are very grateful that you have chosen WITAN. Remember that WITAN welcomes new Member Candidates throughout the year. Reach out to Kathy Moock and the membership committee with all potential recruits.
Julie Katz, Marla Piccolomini and the WOW committee are concentrating on sponsorships and donations. We kindly ask for your support in reaching out to the people in your life that might be interested in supporting the work WITAN does in the Akron community. Julie and Marla are here to answer any questions you may have and assist in any way to help secure support for the WOW fundraiser. We really need the involvement of the entire WITAN membership to have another successful fundraiser!
Just a reminder that Civic Grant Applications are open until November 30th.
There are many great volunteer activities planned in the upcoming months so be sure to look for the Group Volunteer emails from Amy Hulver. I also look forward to celebrating the holidays with you at the WITAN Holiday Social on December 9th.
